What is included in TOIT+ 2022 price?

The price for TOIT+ 2022 includes tuition, 4 nights (Wednesday, 7 - Sunday, 11 Sept.) at a hostel, every day breakfast,  several meals (4 lunches and 2 dinners), Birthday Celebration and training materials. 

Note that travel, health insurance, subsistence expenses, and costs for visa are NOT covered.

Can I pay when I arrive at TOIT+ 2022?

No. This isn't possible. Please register before August, 15th online.

Can I get a refund?

No. Unfortunately, we do not process refunds. It is officially stated at TOIT+ registration page and we cannot make exceptions. 

Will I get a refund in case of a COVID outbreak?

Young SIETAR cannot provide refunds, or be held liable for any costs incurred, due to any possible effects of a Coronavirus Event. Such effects are outside of the control of Young SIETAR. A Coronavirus Event is an event or delay caused by, or arising from or in relation to the Coronavirus (being Covid19/ SARS-COV2 Coronavirus or any mutation or development thereof)  epidemic or pandemic that prevents, postpones, cancels or delays any bookings, sales or refunds by Young Sietar under this agreement and other contracts with third parties, or performance of any obligations by the Company under this contract, including (but not limited to) losses and disruptions which caused such delay or postponement of sale, bookings or refunds.

The event team will respect the current pandemic related measures in place in Luxembourg. As of May 1, there are no restrictions in public places anymore, except from wearing a mask in public transport.

I see the discounts for Young SIETAR and SIETAR members. How do I provide a proof the my status during the registration?

During online registration, you will not be asked to provide any proof of your membership. However, at the end of August 2022 the orga team might ask to provide some kind of a proof of your SIETAR membership. If you are a member of Young SIETAR, we will get this information in our system. If you are not yet a member of Young SIETAR, please join first and then register for the event.

Are there any grants for TOIT+ 2022 participants?

So far no grants are available for TOIT+ 2022 participants. We tried to make the event financially affordable for as many interested people as possible and kept the costs to a minimum.

I need a visa to enter Luxembourg, can I receive an invitation letter?

Yes. Please contact secretary@youngsietar.org in case you need an invitation letter.

Do I get my money back if I do not get a visa?

No. Unfortunately, we do not process refunds. It is officially stated at TOIT registration page and we cannot make exceptions.
In case you need a visa, we would kindly ask you to first contact secretary@youngsietar.org to get an invitation letter. We recommend proceeding to the online registration and payment only after you receive the visa. As soon as you contact secretary@youngsietar.org, the spot will be reserved for you for a limited time.  

How much money should I calculate for personal expenses?

Subsistence expenses are not included in TOIT+ 2022 price. Please calculate your personal expenses on your own. Luxembourg is generally quite expensive (apart from tobacco, alcohol, coffee and fossil fuels) for foreigners.

Questions about program/agenda

Is there a detailed day-to-day Program/Agenda that I can review before the registration?

Yes, there is a the day-to-day agenda finalized by the trainers. It is decided that the detailed agenda will be sent out to participants closer to the first day of the training as a part of the e-Welcome Booklet.

Can I participate only in a part of TOIT+ 2022? Can I arrive one day later/leave one day earlier? Is there a reduced contribution for that?

No. If you arrive later or leave earlier, it would be both unproductive for you and disruptive for the rest of us. We ask you to commit the whole time. There is no reduced contribution for such cases.

Is there a possibility that TOIT+ might be cancelled?

This can only happen due to a new Covid outbreak.

What language is used at TOIT+ 2022?

Training sessions are delivered in English.

What sort of accommodation is included in my congress contribution?

Your accommodationin a 4-bed-dormitory is included in the TOIT 2022+ price and arranged for 4 nights in Esch-sur-Alzette

The hostel will NOT be exclusively used by TOIT+ 2022 trainers and participants.

Furnished with single and bunk beds, rooms can accommodate 4 persons with access to shared bathroom facilities.

Breakfast is provided.

Please bring your own towel with you as in the hostel it is not included in the price.

Is there the possibility of ‘upgrading’ my sleeping accommodation?

No. Unfortunately, there is no possibility of upgrading you to a single room.

Is it compulsory for all participants to stay at the hostel?

No. It's not obligatory to stay in the hostel. However, the partial refunds of the accommodation costs are not possible. So participants could stay at any other place at their own expense with no partial reimbursement of the contribution paid.

We want to create a productive atmosphere for learning and networking and consider at an important factor of the group atmosphere that all participants stay at the same place.

If yes, is it possible for my colleagues and I to be placed in the same room?

Yes. It is possible for you to stay in one room. We will do our best to place you in the same room with your colleagues. If you specifically request it, please write to secretary@youngsietar.org after you register.

Can I stay in Luxembourg longer than the duration of TOIT+ 2022?

Yes. But we’re asking you to arrange your extra stay yourself.

Can I use the Internet and where?

Yes. Free wifi is available at the hostel and in many public areas.

When shall I arrive?

TOIT+ 2022 officially starts at 6pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Please arrive at the hostel that day before the evening. We will have an unofficial get-together on Wednesday in the afternoon.

When can I leave?

TOIT+ officially finishes at 1 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2022. 

We will be happy stay connected and stay a litlle bit longer!

How do I arrive at the hostel from airport?

Best way is to take the bus number 29 from the airport “Findel”  to Luxembourg Gare and then a direct train from “Luxembourg Gare” to “Esch-sur-Alzette Gare”. Link

The hostel is located basically inside of the train station.

Taxis cost around 80€ from Luxembourg Findel Airport to the hostel.

It is also easy to get to Luxembourg from Airport Charleroi, Airport Saarbrucken, Frankfurt Hahn.

Luxembourg is also reachable by long distance buses (Amsterdam, Brussels, Munich, Vienna) with Flixbus.

International Train connections can be booked through this page (Brussels, Cologne, Paris)

Will there be a pick-up service?

No, but we will wait for you at the hostel. If there are any problems with transportation, don’t hesitate to ask.

Questions about how to get ready

What else should I pack?

September might not be that cold but it can be quite rainy. Bring a jacket as well, just in case it gets chilly in the evening. Also waterproof clothes/shoes or an umbrella in case it rains. People usually dress very informally but also like to dress up for a dinner out.

What should I wear?

You can stay casual for the seminar, but take into account the weather forecast for outdoor clothing. It’s the best to check the weather forecast shortly before the trip.

What is the currency in Luxembourg?
