Young SIETAR Education & Training Team

The Education & Training Team is at the heart of Young SIETAR’s mission to foster learning, growth, and skill-building in the intercultural field. Since the merger of the Education and Training teams in 2019, we have worked together to develop projects and initiatives that explore both content (such as cultural theories and models) and methods (tools, formats, and innovative approaches to intercultural learning).

Our goal is to create opportunities for members to learn, experiment, and thrive — whether through workshops, discussions, training resources, or new formats of virtual and in-person learning.

Project Development

Initiate and support new activities such as YS Cafés, Virtual YS Cafés, the Training Library, etc…

Collaboration

Work with other teams (e.g., Events Team) to design and deliver online and in-person learning formats such as the Online Learning Series, Open Stage sessions, or TOIT programs.

The time investment is flexible, around 5-10 hours per month. Some months may be busier than others, and that’s okay – we value balance and mutual support.

Knowledge Sharing

  • Share news, resources, and projects in the YS Newsletter
  • Research and distribute articles on intercultural education and training
  • Use communication channels (in collaboration with the Communications Coordinator) to share learning-related content with the wider community
