Intro:
Every organisation needs a leader – Young SIETAR is no different.
We are looking for someone to take on the challenge of representing Young SIETAR to the world beyond.
Are you the enthusiastic Young SIETARian we are looking for?
A heart for Young SIETAR is more important than a track list of experience. Young SIETAR provides a platform to learn for us all – also for its President.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Chairing Young SIETAR Board meetings and General Assembly
Facilitates the Board mailing list
Represent YS in formal settings and on member level
Maintain contact and communication with YS partners (SIETAR network, NGOs etc.)
Build/lead Board as a virtual, worldwide volunteer team
Responsible for overall strategy and development of structures/content
Planning and monitoring event budget
Must be willing to travel to The Netherlands for legal / financial identification.
Intro:
Secretaries are SO important for keeping an organisation afloat.
Are you one of those more structured people who like to keep track of things and are not too adverse to numbers?
Secretary might not be seen as the most exciting position, yet they are vital (and good for your CV).
From record-keeping, compliance, to advising and more! It also offers the opportunity to participate in other projects that are run within YS – take your pick!
Tasks and responsibilities:
Keeping track of incoming new membership applications
Maintaining membership list
Keeping the mailing list up to date
Supporting project teams (e.g. congress team) with admin
Working with the Treasurer on membership admin
Answering Board mail (with the President)
Managing mail about payments & GA invites
Organising the General Assembly
Must be willing to travel to The Netherlands for legal / financial identification.
Intro:
Treasurers are like the superheroes of our finances, keeping the ship sailing smoothly!
They guard our precious resources, ensuring every dollar, euro, or yen is used wisely to support our mission of bringing people and cultures together.
Think of them as expert navigators who know the map to sustainable success, helping us make a global impact while balancing the books with a touch of magic.
Without their steady hands, our journey across cultures might just run out of fuel!
Tasks and responsibilities:
Keeping track of all incoming and outgoing payments on accounts
Maintaining bookkeeping system
Setting & presenting the annual budget and financial overview
Making payments and handling requests
Managing invoices and receipts (templates exist)
Supporting project teams with financial matters
Communication with bank and PayPal
Other tasks
Must live in the Netherlands
Are you close to the grapevine?
Then you know how to find out what the membership wants through polls, interviews, etc.
The membership coordinator connects members with mentors beyond YS in the intercultural field and supports marketing to increase membership.
At the core: find ways to boost membership and involvement. Young SIETAR thrives on volunteers — and this role is central to that mission.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Leading the Membership & Mentoring team (organizing meetings, document archiving, etc.)
Coordinating, implementing, and maintaining Membership & Mentoring team projects
Developing activities to actively engage members
Developing marketing activities for YS to increase membership, working closely with the Communication Coordinator
Updating and maintaining information related to Membership & Mentoring on the Young SIETAR website
Initiating, supporting, and developing new projects related to Membership & Mentoring
Participating in the running of the organisation by providing feedback on and contributing to general board issues (e.g., strategy, improvements of the organisation, etc.)
